The School of Science & Mathematics offers an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Environmental Science. The Associate of Applied Science in Environmental Science prepares students for careers in environmental management, natural resource conservation, and sustainability through a combination of scientific knowledge and practical, hands-on skills. This career-focused degree emphasizes real-world applications, field experience, and industry-relevant technologies that employers seek in today’s environmental workforce. This program is a good foundation for students wishing to transfer to a four-year institution with the desire to complete a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Science or other natural resources field. To acquaint students with professional opportunities within the field, students are required to participate in undergraduate research and/or an internship relevant to their specific environmental interest.
