PLSC 2403H - Introduction to Comparative Politics, Honor


Description
A study of the various political systems of the world, such as the governments of Western Europe, Socialist or Communist Systems, and developing world governments. The countries under examination are often selected to address important real-world circumstances. This is an honors course.   • Explain why states develop distinct types of governments and policies within different contexts
  • Differentiate theoretical approaches and frameworks with the subfield of Comparative Politics.
  • Identify different types of regimes and economies throughout the world.
  • Define different political cultures throughout the world.
  • Evaluate the processes of violent and nonviolent political change throughout the world.
