- Explain basic polices and protocols involved in responding to a crime scene.
- Describe the techniques involved in evidence processing, including submission to the state crime lab.
- Discuss the basics of interview of witnesses and victims, and interrogation of suspects, and the difference between the two.
- Explain the processes involved in proper searches and seizures.
- Describe the various types of crimes committed and the particular issues that arise from investigating them.
- List the various sources of useful information related to conducting an investigation.
