EMTA 1201 - Emergency Medical Technician II Clinical Description This course is taught in conjunction with EMTA 1062 . During this phase of the program clinical rotations at both hospital and ambulance services (must have a passing grade to go to clinical). Students will have a drug screen performed prior to clinical rotations.

Learning Outcomes
- Perform a minimum of 5 ride-outs on an assigned ambulance
- Under the supervision of a licensed Paramedic, develop skills for appropriate interaction in emergency situations
- Under the direct supervision of a Registered nurse or a licensed paramedic observe and assist patient care at an assigned emergency room.

Standard Practices Learning Activities
Students will ride out on an ambulance with appropriate attire and professionalism. While on shift at the ambulance service, the student will ride out until they have achieved a minimum of 5 calls. Students will be under the supervision of a licensed paramedic and will learn how to interact with emergency situations.
Students will work in the emergency room of an accredited hospital to observe patient care at an advanced level. Students will be under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or paramedic.
Assessments
Students will fill out ER sheets and EMS run sheets and return them for grade
Grading guidelines
Student’s grade will be derived from the professionalism and paperworksubmitted.
