ENGL 2033 - Creative Writing II


Description
Designed to build on the fundamental techniques of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction learned in Creative Writing I. Students may continue working on material developed in the first semester course and generate new material in Fiction, Poetry, and Creative Nonfiction. Students will continue to craft original works through workshop, revision, and possibly instructor consultation.

Completion of ENGL 2023  with a grade greater than or equal to C.

  • Generate creative writing projects in both prose and verse.
  • Demonstrate techniques, styles, and forms for creative writing. 
  • Employ a variety of craft techniques in creative works.

  • Apply peer/instructor feedback and revision strategies to significantly revise subsequent drafts.
  • Analyze structures and techniques used in published fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction.
