HIM 2532 - Clinical Internship II Description The student will be given the opportunity to compare the educational experience of previous advanced courses with onsite and on-campus laboratory learning experience. Affiliation may be in local hospitals, long-term care, home health, state or federal agencies, clinic or community health agencies, or companies providing services. Full-time participation of the student is required.
Pre-Requisite Acceptance into the Health Information Management program of study.

Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Apply knowledge and technical skills in the performance of clinical internship activities related to health information management in acute care facilities and alternative health care settings.
- Apply skills related to health information management roles in other disciplines, such as, quality improvement, performance improvement, medical staff credentialing, utilization review, risk management, and physician clinics.
- Expose students to emerging technology, regulations, and advances in the health information management profession.
