LEGL 2162 - Employment Law Description Introduces general principles of employment law, including the employment at will doctrine; the rights, duties, and liabilities of the employer and employee; and claims for discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination, including claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, The Fair Labor Standards Act, The Americans with Disabilities Act, The Age Discrimination in Employment Act, and The Family and Medical Leave Act.. Students will become familiar with the ethics of employment law and with legal documentation related to this field.
Pre-Requisite Completion of LEGL 1043 with a grade greater than or equal to C.
